Eder dos Santos, known as Dynamo, was born on the island of Sal, in Cape Verde. His musical learning was always self-taught, with his cousin and musician Dani Santoz “Pimps” as his first reference. He first stepped onto a stage at age 11, at the Asa cinema-theater in Espargos, singing songs by Black Side.

Shortly after, he formed BS, “Boys from Sal”, where he was the vocalist and guitarist, blending hip hop, R&B, and early original compositions. After finishing high school, he moved to the United States, where he studied at Wellesley Hills and sang in bars and restaurants for the Cape Verdean and Brazilian communities.

In 2009, he joined the band C4 as vocalist and composer, performing dozens of concerts in Spain, Portugal, and Cape Verde. As a solo artist, he released “One” (2014), “Mirror” (2016), “Independent” (2020), and the double album “Blindado” (2024), featuring 24 original tracks. “Independent” earned him the Album of the Year award in 2021 and, the following year, he was the most listened-to Cape Verdean artist on Spotify Cape Verde. In March 2026, he took “Blindado” to Sagres Campo Pequeno in Lisbon.
