CAMPIRA

Jorge Baptista Campira, also known by his stage name “DJ Campira” (born on September 8, 1993), is a Mozambican DJ specializing in Afro House & Afro Tech.

Besides being an excellent DJ, he also has a degree in Accounting and Finance, a career he left behind to pursue music.

Influenced by DJs he saw performing on television, his curiosity and interest in music began to grow. Under the guidance of his mentor, DJ Nino Kizomba, he started his career in 2012 at the Centro Hípico da Beira (Mozambique).

Campira became a professional in 2015, marking an important and consistent presence over the years in the main nightclubs of Beira City. His talent and reputation led him to receive invitations to perform in various provinces of Mozambique.

With the success of his work, he was also invited to play in countries such as South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Portugal. He has shared stages with renowned international Afro House DJs like Black Coffee, Maphorisa, Shimza, Caiiro, Da Capo, Euphonik, among others.

He released two EPs, titled “Liberdade” and “Campira”. Among some of his biggest hits throughout his career are the songs “Radar”, “Sniper”, and “Apaga Tudo”.

Campira has amassed thousands of streams across various music streaming platforms, and his EPs reached the top of Mozambique’s most listened-to charts, staying among the most played for consecutive weeks.

Currently, he is part of the Label PV Entretenimento.
