MAGIC BEATZ

Fernando Fati, better known by his stage name Magic Beatz, is a Portuguese DJ, music producer, and composer. He was born in Portugal on February 11, 1993, but at just five months old, he spent his childhood in Guinea-Bissau, his parents' country of origin.

He returned to Portugal two days before his birthday, and in January 2004, Magic went back to his birthplace.

In November 2009, at just 16 years old, he had his first contact with a music studio. Located in the center of Lisbon, a small and humble studio became his second home. His passion for music, determination, hard work, and eagerness to learn led Magic to start producing and collaborating with various local artists.

The memories, stories, nostalgia, and his entire temporal and geographical journey allowed him to gain deep knowledge of different roots and cultures. These were the perfect puzzle pieces to create a seamless fusion between electronic music and traditional African rhythms.

In 2012, Magic Beatz began his career by producing his first hit – Ankura. The track Ankura became one of the biggest afro-house/afro-tech hits in 2018 and 2019, being heard worldwide and featured in the sets of several renowned national and international DJs.

In 2021, DJ and producer Magic Beatz embarked on a journey of great success, assembling a new team and focusing on improving his image with a strong international presence.
